Diane was born in Charleston, South Carolina and grew up in Hanahan. She graduated from Hanahan High School.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education  from South Carolina State University.  For the past 30 years, Diane has served as a school teacher in North Carolina and is currently teaching in the Charleston County School District as a 6th grade science teacher.

Jack is from North Carolina and after high school he went into the Marine Corps. After the military, Jack has been in the manufacturing field and now works for Pegasus Steel in Goose Creek.  Jack has always wanted to work with young men to help them become responsible adults and to be a positive role model in their lives.

Diane and Jack met over 3 decades ago and were married in 1992.  They have 2 daughters, 1 son, and 1 grandson.

They have spent their lives wanting the best for children.  When given the challenge to apply and be accepted as house parents for Mickey’s House, they jumped at the opportunity.  Diane and Jack strive to continue to provide the best for the young men that reside with them.  Stability, safety, reliability, comfort, caring relationships, and being good role models are the goals that Diane and Jack strive to provide in Mickey’s House for every young man that passes through their doors.
