About Us

Project Home Foundation was founded in 2016 by Mr. Kim Wilson in response to the increasing level of youth homelessness within the Charleston area. While serving as the Principal at R.B. Stall High School in North Charleston, Mr. Wilson became aware of the growing problem within the school, and with the assistance of numerous stakeholders, worked towards providing a home for displaced high school students in the area.

Mickey’s House – the first result of this initiative, exists to provide a safe home for male students.

Today, Project Home Foundation is a non-profit organization (EIN: 83-3114962) funded solely by corporate and strategic partnerships and generous individual donations. Your donation provides a home environment for students during their stay at Mickey’s House. Donations include clothing, after-school activities, and groceries.

Our Mission & Purpose

Project Home Foundation’s purpose is to provide a structured and nurturing home environment for displaced male high school students between the ages of 17 and 21 that will allow them to experience success in learning and in life. The Foundation’s goals and expected outcomes are, at this time, tied directly to the expected outcomes for Mickey’s House.
